Tethers & Corporate Events

A tethered hot air balloon is tied down to the ground to keep it from flying away with the wind.  Rohr Balloons is highly experienced in performing tethered balloon activities in many different environments.  Our experience and specialized tether systems allow us to accomplish successful balloon tethers when conditions are less than ideal, all with a perfect safety record to date.  Rohr Balloons maintains liability insurance and can provide additionally insured certificates upon request. Whether you are interested in tethered balloon rides at your special event, or for the most impressionable form of advertising available, you are bound to be thrilled by what we offer!

Tethered Rides  
Perfect for entertaining large groups of people at events such as private parties, company picnics, wedding receptions, college events, and community festivals.  A 75'-85’ tall balloon carries passengers up to 100’ or more above the ground.  Tethered rides are best scheduled for mornings and evenings, when the winds are the calmest.

Tether Technical Rider

Package 1: 
Includes a balloon that can accommodate an average of 4 passengers per lift.  Each ride can last from as little as 1 minute up to 5 or 10 minutes of air time.  Once on the ground, the passengers are switched and the next ride lifts off.  This balloon can carry 45-60 passengers per hour.
Price - $2,400 for 2 hours, plus travel expenses if applicable.  Additional tether time is available at $1,000 per hour. 

Package 2:
Includes a larger balloon that can accommodate 8 passengers per lift.  Each ride can last from as little as 1 minute up to 5 or 10 minutes of air time.  Once on the ground, the passengers are switched and the next ride lifts off.  This balloon can carry 70-100 passengers per hour. This balloon operates better than smaller balloons in moderately higher winds due to the high payload. (3,200 lb. capacity provides stability against winds that would be too high for smaller balloons).
Price - $3,200 for 2 hours, plus travel expenses if applicable.  Additional tether time is available at $1,300 per hour. 

Rohr can provide multiple balloons to accommodate various crowd sizes.

Tethered Advertising
With Rohr Balloons at your grand opening, special promotion, or tethered at a high traffic intersection, an 80’ tall balloon will inspire a lasting brand impression and a smile. Tethered balloons are capable of being anchored down to the ground or floating above the rooftops.  When inflated after dusk, the balloon has it’s own night time illumination, actually lighting up the sky.

Balloon Glows

What is a balloon glow? After sunset, a tethered balloon glows like a giant light bulb, drawing attention to any outdoor event! Glows are a great way to entertain children and adults at any festival, community or sporting event. In some cases, a glowing balloon can be seen from over 30 miles away!

Glows can be accomplished in small areas, such as parking lots, streets and parks.
